Established in 2020, United is a supported employment program that creates meaningful opportunities for people with a disability to develop skills, build confidence and make meaningful connections. It also gives individuals an opportunity to work within the community and build professional relationships.
Through a diverse range of practical and purposeful activities, participants are supported to contribute in meaningful ways while building friendships, developing workplace skills and earning remuneration for their involvement. Activities include confidential document shredding and recycling, cleaning contracts, property maintenance and helping care for Harmonee House through gardening, feeding the chickens and collecting eggs.
The United team provides a supportive and inclusive environment where each person’s strengths and abilities are recognised and valued. More than just a workplace, United is a place to build relationships, learn new skills, contribute to the community and experience the pride that comes from meaningful participation.
United is available to people aged 18 years and over with appropriate NDIS funding.
