United

What is United? – Established in 2020, United is a program aimed at providing individuals with disabilities a sense of purpose and community through team participation. Funded by NDIS, this program involves a variety of activities that promote social interaction, remuneration, and friendship-building.

What does United offer? – United offers a diverse range of activities, including industrial paper shredding, maintenance at Harmonee House, and cleaning contracts. Participants shred confidential documents in 240-litre bins and take the shredded paper to a recycling centre. The program also involves visiting Harmonee House to feed chickens, collect eggs, and tend to the garden.

Eligibility and Process – To participate in United, individuals must be 18 years or older and have their funding approved through NDIS. The program provides a unique opportunity for individuals to develop skills, build relationships, and become more involved in their community.
